The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a police involved shooting that occurred at the above listed location. According to investigators, detectives from the Robbery Intervention Detail (RID) noticed a male with a bulge in his waistband. As they attempted to make contact with the subject, he fled on foot and the detectives gave chase. While in pursuit, they observed the subject remove a firearm from his waistband and point it at the detectives. The detectives discharged their firearms striking the subject. The subject was transported to JMH Ryder Trauma Center and is listed in stable condition. The detectives were not injured during the incident and a firearm was recovered on the scene. Routine records check of the subject revealed that he had two open warrants for his arrest. The warrants are as follows: Bench Warrant - Driving While License Suspended (DWLS) and an A/C Warrant - Resisting Without Violence & Grand Theft.
