(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a traffic crash that occurred at the above listed location.  According to investigators, the Nissan Maxima was traveling westbound on Miami Lakes Drive when for unknown reasons the vehicle lost control and drove onto eastbound lanes striking a Miami-Dade Transit bus.  The passenger of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on scene and the driver was transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious but stable condition.  The occupants of the bus were unharmed.
