Death Investigation


(Miami-Dade County, FL) --  

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating an incident that occurred at the above listed location.  According to investigators, the police was contacted to check on the welfare of Ms. Renette Emile.  Once the officers gained entry to the apartment, they discovered her deceased in one of the bedrooms with obvious signs of decomposition.  Ms. Emile resided with her 16 & 3 year old sons who were not home at the time.  Shortly thereafter, the 16 year old son, Kit Durant, arrived and made contact with the officers.  The 3 year old child was given to family members and Durant was detained for questioning where he has confessed to killing his mother.   The cause of death has not been determined and waiting the reports from the Medical Examiner's office.
