(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Northwest District continues to investigate grand theft and scheme to defraud cases involving Adolfo David Vega.  According to investigators, Vega, who has an expired real estate license, places ads on the internet for rental properties.  He then obtains lockbox combinations for keys to the different properties through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  When interested victims contact him, he provides them with an address and the combination to the lockboxes, and has the victims view the property on their own.  Vega then agrees to meet the victims at alternate locations where he provides a contract, and collects monies for the security deposit, parking and miscellaneous fees.
