The Miami-Dade Police Department's, Village of Palmetto Bay, General Investigations Unit is investigating a commercial burglary that occurred at the listed location. The unknown subject pried open the front door of the business, entered the jewelry store, and proceeded to smash various display cases. The subject removed the property and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. The approximate value of the stolen property is $15,000.00. Surveillance video captured the image of the subject and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual. A review of the surveillance video revealed that at approximately 11:50 p.m., the subject used a long pole to move the position of the exterior security cameras. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.
