(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
 

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is investigating a police-involved shooting.  According to investigators, MDPD Robbery detectives were conducting an investigation with the assistance of Robbery Intervention Detail (RID) detectives.  During the investigation, a traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and a confrontation ensued.  During the confrontation, a RID detective(s) discharged his firearm, killing one of the subjects.  The second subject was apprehended and is currently being questioned.   

The investigation is ongoing.
