Death Investigation


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Homicide Bureau detectives are conducting a death investigation at the above listed location.  According to investigators, police officers along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the residence in regards to a sick or injured person.  Upon arrival, they smelled a strong odor of carbon monoxide from within the residence and observed a vehicle inside of the garage that was left running.  Once inside, officers located Victim #1 deceased inside of a bathroom and Victim #2, unconscious in another room of the residence.  Victim #2 was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach for treatment in a hyperbaric chamber.
