Miami-Dade Police Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of 3 adults. According to detectives, MDPD uniform patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the listed residence. Upon arrival, the officers received information that an active shooter was located inside the residence along with 2 adults and 3 children. The officers located the 2 adults and 3 children in a rear bedroom and immediately initiated a rescue, extracting each of them thru the bedroom window. The officers then made entry into the residence thru a rear door and discovered the bodies of 3 adults deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. At this time, the motive is unclear and the investigation remains active/ongoing. UPDATE#1: Further investigation revealed that the subject, Oney Campiz, was involved in a dispute when he produced a firearm, shot both victims and subsequently shot himself. According to investigators, Campiz, has a 4 year old child in common with Edelind Subarnaba, who is the daughter of both decedents. Ms. Subarnaba along with three (3) children were inside the residence during the incident but were not harmed.
