Grand Theft Auto/Cargo Theft (Update #1)

Four Subjects In Custody - One Subject Remains At Large


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department's, Midwest District, General Investigations Unit is investigating an incident that occurred at the location listed above.  According to detectives, on Saturday, July 6, 2012 between 11:40 p.m. and midnight, unknown subjects stole a box truck that was parked in front of the business, loaded with approximately $2,500,000 worth of cell phones and perfumes.  The vehicle was recovered empty at 7903 NW 64 St. 

Surveillance video captured the images of the subjects unloading the merchandise.  Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating these individuals. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.

 

UPDATE #1: Through investigative means, the Miami-Dade Police, Midwest District, Commercial Burglary and Theft Squad, with the assistance and cooperation of the Miami-Dade Airport District, General Investigations detectives and the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, Gang Strike Force, identified and arrested four of the subjects involved in the above listed case.  Subject Carlos Albert remains at large.  There is an active warrant for his arrest.
