Police Shooting


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department continues to investigate a police shooting that occurred at the above listed location.  According to investigators, an "in-progress" credit card fraud call was received from the business.  Once the officer arrived, security personnel identified subject #1.  As the officer approached subject #1, he fled on foot through the parking lot.  The officer immediately gave chase and requested assistance.  Subjects 2 & 3 attempted to strike the officer with their vehicle as he pursued subject #1 causing the officer to discharge his firearm towards the vehicle.  Subject #1 entered the vehicle and fled westbound on Bird Road.

Units responding to assist the officer observed the vehicle fleeing from the area and apprehended subjects #1, 2 & 3.  Security personnel identified subject #4 and officers apprehended the subject as he was attempting to drive away.  No one was injured during the incident.
