The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is investigating a police-involved shooting. According to investigators, MDPD detectives responded to the listed residence regarding an ongoing Aggravated Stalking investigation. When detectives made contact with the listed subject, a confrontation ensued, and the subject was shot and killed. Investigators have confirmed that the deceased subject was wanted (probable cause) in connection with the Aggravated Stalking investigation. The investigation is ongoing. UPDATE #2: Upon further investigation, it has been revealed that the subject was armed with a semi-automatic firearm when the detectives approached his residence. Upon contact, the subject pointed the firearm at the detectives and refused to drop it after multiple commands. The subject was subsequently shot and killed. The firearm has been recovered as evidence.
