Industrial Accident (Update #1) |

At approximately 8:30 a.m., Mr. Pierre Mezidor, an employee at the listed industrial plant, was working on the roof of a cement storage silo when the roof collapsed, dropping the employee approximately 50-100 feet inside. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Technical Rescue Team responded and initiated a rescue operation lasting throughout the day/afternoon. After exhausting all search and rescue efforts, the rescue has been switched to a recovery and is currently being investigated by Miami-Dade Police Department’s Homicide Bureau. UPDATE #1: Human remains have been removed from the cement storage silo and transported to the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner. The remains have subsequently been identified as Mr. Mezidor.
