Grand Theft

Lotto Scam


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Hammocks District, General Investigations Unit is investigating a theft that occurred as a result of a lotto scam.  According to investigators, the victim observed Subject #1 crying on a bench at the above listed location.  Subject #1 then described how she recently won the lottery; however, couldn't claim the winning proceeds because she was a resident and not a US citizen.  Subject #2 then joined Subject #1 and convinced the victim to withdraw $10,000.00 to assist in obtaining the winnings.  Both subjects then fled in unknown direction.

Security cameras captured the still images (see attached) of the subject and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual.

The investigation continues.
