(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade police Department, Robbery Bureau detectives are investigating a strong-armed robbery.  According to detectives, the victim was in her vehicle when the subject approached her, knocked on her window and asked to borrow her cell phone.  As the victim, an elderly female, was attempting to retrieve her phone, the subject reached in to the vehicle, grabbed her purse and punched the left side of her head.  The subject possibly fled west on SW 18 Terrace. 

Investigative means revealed that the victim may have been followed from a nearby shopping center.  Detectives have identified a suspicious vehicle captured on surveillance video from the shopping center located at 7810 SW 72 Street.  Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this vehicle.
