Hit & Run / Traffic Crash (Fatality) - Update #1

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

Miami-Dade Police Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating a crash that occurred at the above listed location. According to investigators, the subject (driver of vehicle #1) was involved in a vehicle crash with Vehicle #2 at the intersection of 1st Terrace & NW 72nd Avenue. At this time, it appears that the subject then began to flee northbound on NW 72nd Avenue when he lost control and subsequently struck the victim who was standing on the sidewalk as well as a utility pole. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The subject was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

The investigation continues.
