(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is investigating a police-involved shooting.  According to investigators, MDPD Robbery Intervention Detail (RID) detectives approached two male subjects and a confrontation ensued.  One of the subjects fled from detectives and during the pursuit, a detective(s) discharged his/her firearm in the direction of the subject.  The subject barricaded himself inside a residence and was subsequently apprehended and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  At this time, it's unclear if the subject's injuries were the result of a bullet grazing or from falling during the foot pursuit.  The second subject possessed a federal warrant and was apprehended without incident.
