According to Miami-Dade Police Traffic Homicide detectives, the victim was traveling eastbound on a small bicycle on N.W. 151st Street (southern edge) when he was struck from the rear at approximately 2nd Avenue. According to witnesses, the driver/subject #1 dragged the victim approximately 50 feet before stopping twice, while attempting to maneuver and dislodge the victim from underneath the vehicle. The driver/subject #1 then fled the scene, traveling at a high-rate of speed, eastbound on N.W. 151st Street, then southbound on Biscayne River Drive. The victim died on the scene. According to witnesses, the driver/subject #1 was operating a 2011-2013 Dodge Durango Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), light in color, with minor front-end damage. The investigation remains active/ongoing. There is no further information available at this time.
