Police Involved Shooting (Update #1)


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a police involved shooting that occurred at the listed location.  According to detectives,  uniform officers responded to the report of a robbery at 5345 SW 115 Ave. (One male victim, unharmed, no other information). 

While detectives were processing the robbery scene, two males were dropped of at Kendall Regional, suffering from gun shot wound(s).  One victim expired, and the other was taken in to surgery.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., at the robbery scene, a white vehicle drove through the crime scene tape at a high rate of speed, and struck several police vehicles.  Officers shot at the vehicle and the subject was taken into custody. The driver of the vehicle sustained a gun shot to the thumb. He was treated and released by fire rescue on the scene.

At this time, it is unknown if these three incidents are related.

UPDATE #1:  The driver of the vehicle involved in the police shooting has been identified and listed above.  He has been arrested and charged accordingly. 

No additional information is available, as of yet, regarding the robbery and death investigation.
