(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a police involved shooting that occurred at the above listed location.  According to investigators, the officer was on routine patrol in the warehouse area when he observed a suspicious vehicle.  The officer activated his emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop and the subject refused to stop while traveling very slowly.  Once the vehicle came to a stop, the officer repeatedly gave the driver verbal commands but the he refused to comply.  While still in the vehicle, the driver made an abrupt movement causing the officers to discharge their firearms striking the driver.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the driver deceased on the scene.  None of the officers were injured.
