(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating the death of an 11 month old boy that occurred inside a vehicle.  According to investigators, Catalina Maristo Bruno, the mother of the deceased boy, placed the child in the car seat that was located in the rear passenger side of the vehicle.  She drove to her residence, exited the vehicle and did not remove the child from the car seat.  After an undetermined amount of time, the father of the child, Amos Osceola, inquired as to the location of the child.  Bruno then recalled leaving the child inside the vehicle and Mr. Osceola immediately ran outside to remove the child from the car seat.  He found the child unresponsive and transported him to a nearby Miami-Dade Fire Rescue station for medical attention.  The child was transported to Kendall Regional Hospital with a body temperature of 109 degrees and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
