Residential Burglary


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Intracoastal District is investigating a residential burglary that occurred that the above listed location. According to investigators, officers were patrolling the area when they observed a vehicle in the driveway of the above location with the front door open.  As the vehicle drove off, officers attempted to stop the vehicle to further investigate. The officers activated their emergency equipment and the subject vehicle refused to stop. The vehicle came to a stop due to traffic, at which time officers attempted to approach the vehicle.  The subject then placed the vehicle in reverse and struck the officer’s gun belt and fled the scene. Officers gave pursuit into Broward County where the subjects bailed out of the vehicle and a perimeter was established. The subjects were subsequently taken into custody without incident. The officer did not sustain any injuries due to the incident.

The investigation continues.
