The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is currently investigating a drowning that occurred at the above location. According to investigators, the victim was operating a personal watercraft when he fell into the water. The victim was last seen attempting to swim after the personal watercraft. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Divers entered the water and conducted a search for the male; however, they were not successful. Miami-Dade Police Divers are currently in the water in a recovery effort. The preliminary investigation reveals the male was not wearing a life jacket.
