The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating an incident that occurred at the above listed location. According to investigators, the victim had been vomiting persistently throughout the day due to a cold. The subject, who is the victim’s father, became agitated and forcefully threw the victim on the bed which resulted in him striking his head against the wall. The victim was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical condition due to a head injury. Angel Villegas was arrested and charged with Aggravated Child Abuse and 2nd Degree Murder. UPDATE #1: On Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., the victim succumbed to his injuries. Angel Villegas was consequently charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
