MDPD Homicide Makes Arrest in the Tiffany Cabreja Murder Investigation

Additional Subject Remains At Large


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating an incident at the 28200 Block of S.W. 144th Avenue.  According to investigators, witnesses observed a commercial truck traveling east bound on S.W. 288th Street, as it made a left turn at S.W 144th what appeared to be a body fell from the passenger side of the truck. The subject then stopped the truck and placed the body back inside and continued north bound on S.W. 144th avenue. Witnesses advised they lost sight of the truck moments later. Officers responded to the area and discovered the victim’s body in a construction site. She was pronounced decease on the scene. The cause of death is unknown, the investigation continues.

Witnesses advised investigators, they observed what appeared to be a 2 or 3 year old child in the truck as this incident occurred. Investigators are concerned for the welfare of the child and are seeking the assistance of the community in locating the child.

Surveillance video captured a still image of the subject’s vehicle. Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual.

UPDATE #1: The victim has been identified and is listed above. The vehicle has not been located. It has also been confirmed that the toddler seen in the vehicle does not belong to the victim.

No further information is available at this time.

UPDATE #2:  According to investigators, one of the subjects has been identified and charged accordingly.  Investigators are now seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating the second subject who remains at large.
