(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Kendall District, General Investigations Unit is investigating an incident that occurred at the above listed location.  According to detectives, the victim, Alejandro Ravelo, was traveling on S.W. 81st Drive when the subject, Osvaldo Alvarez, pulled up next to him and confronted him about his driving. As the victim drove away, Alvarez followed him to the parking lot located at 8333 S.W. 81st Avenue, where he then exited his vehicle and struck the victim’s hood. The victim then drove to another parking space where the subject blocked him in with his vehicle and threatened to arrest him. Alvarez then reached through the victim’s window and grabbed his hand.  Several witnesses dialed 9-1-1 advising an officer needed assistance. Once uniform officers arrived, it was determined that the subject was not a police officer but a Miami-Dade Firefighter. The subject was arrested and charged accordingly. Victim did not sustain any injuries.
