Occupied Residential Burglary

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Kendall District, is investigating a residential burglary that occurred at the above listed location. According to investigators, two black male subjects were attempting to gain entry into the residence, when the victim inside called 9-1-1. The subjects then fled the area and attempted to conceal themselves inside another residence that was also occupied. Officers immediately responded to the area and were able to apprehend one of the subjects. A perimeter was established which lead to the capture of the second subject. A possible third subject with a vehicle description was provided to responding officers. A vehicle matching the description was located and a subsequent shooting occurred, whereby officers discharged their firearms towards the vehicle. It is unknown if the driver of the vehicle was struck. The vehicle fled in an unknown direction. No injuries have been reported.
