NEED TO IDENTIFY HOMICIDE SUBJECT (Update #1)

Child Shot and Killed During a Robbery


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating an incident that resulted in a child shot and killed at a nail salon located at 14832 N.W. 7th Avenue.  According to investigators, two armed subjects entered the business and shots were fired. Two victims, Mr. Hai VU and his 10 year old son, Aaron Vu, were struck.  Both victims were transported to Ryder Trauma Center.  The 10 year old boy succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.  The subjects possibly fled in a black Dodge Ram pick-up. 

Surveillance video captured the images of both subjects and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.

UPDATE #1:  According to investigators, an individual is being questioned in the nail salon shooting to determine his involvement, if any.  At this time, he has not been charged.
