The Miami-Dade Police Department's (MDPD) Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of an adult male victim. According to investigators, the City of Opa-Locka Police Department responded to a shots fired call at the listed location. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). He was transported to the Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital where he expired.
During the investigation, investigators developed real-time intelligence that led them to an apartment located at 135th Street & N.W. 32nd Court. Pursuant to successful negotiation efforts by MDPD's Special Response Team (SRT), 3 subjects were removed from the apartment and are currently being questioned by investigators.
Note: A firearm and assault weapon were also recovered from a vehicle at an alternate/related crime scene at 132nd Street & Cairo Lane. The vehicle is being processed by MDPD Crime Scene personnel.
The investigation remains active/ongoing.

UPDATE #2: On January 8, 2015, Miami-Dade Police Department's, Homicide Bureau arrested Delvin Thomas regarding the homicide of Markette A. McNeal. Thomas was chrged with Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery.
