(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau is investigating a home invasion that occurred at the above listed residence.  The homeowner, Armando Pereira, was in his front yard watering his driveway when he was approached by three black males armed with handguns.  The subjects demanded his jewelry and Mr. Pereira complied.  They then instructed him to lead them to the back yard where other guests still remained.  Once in the back yard, a struggle ensued between a guest and one of the subjects that led them into the pool.  Another subject began to shoot into the pool striking the victim, Sergio Cardenas Jr, in the shoulder.  His mother, Nereda Morera, who was standing nearby, immediately began to struggle with the subject to avoid Mr. Cardenas from sustaining further injuries.  As a result, she was shot in the abdominal area and the lower extremity.  The third subject opened fire at another victim, Jayeski Placencia, who was standing at the opposite side of the pool area, striking him twice in the lower extremities.  The subjects then fled on bicycles westbound on S.W. 270 Terrace.  The homeowner was not injured during the incident.  All three victims were transported to a local hospital and are listed in stable condition.
