Traffic Crash


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit, is investigating a traffic crash that occurred at the above location. A Miami-Dade Police Department vehicle was traveling southbound on S.W. 87 Avenue, responding to an emergency call. A civilian vehicle was traveling eastbound on West Flagler Street. At the intersection, both vehicles crashed causing the police vehicle to collide into another civilian vehicle. The officer briefly lost consciousness and was transported to Baptist Hospital, he is in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
