Police-Involved Shooting |

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a police-involved shooting that occurred at the above location. According to investigators, officers were dispatched to a burglary in-progress in the area of N.E. 135th Street and 15th Avenue. When police arrived, the subject fled on foot and a pursuit ensued. The subject then climbed onto the roof of a residence. Once on the roof, an altercation took place and subsequently shots were fired, striking the subject. The subject was transported to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. No officers were injured. The investigation is ongoing.
