Police-Involved Shooting - UPDATE #1


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating a police-involved shooting that occurred at the above location.  According to investigators, undercover narcotics detectives were conducting an investigation. The subjects observed the detectives inside their unmarked police vehicles and began shooting at the detectives.  One of the detectives was able to return fire, at which time the subjects fled on foot. Two subjects were taken into custody, and one was positively identified as the shooter. A firearm was also recovered.  No injuries were sustained by the officers or the subjects.

This is currently an ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.
