(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Northside District is investigating a shooting involving a toddler.  According to investigators, the toddler had awaken and was crying when his grandfather, Gary Cooper, carried him to walk him to sleep.  Mr. Cooper was outside talking to Andre Davis, the father of Dreden Davis and who was sitting inside his vehicle, when an unknown subject approached in a vehicle and opened fire.  The bullets grazed Andre Davis and struck Dreden Davis in the head.  Andre Davis was treated and released on the scene and the toddler was transported to Ryder Trauma Center where he is listed in stable condition.
