Aggravated Battery |

The Miami-Dade Police Department, South District, is investigating an aggravated battery/attempted murder that occurred at the above location. According to investigators, the victim, while working as a bouncer, was trying to break up a fight when the subject struck him in the head from behind with the concrete base of a pole. The subject fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to Homestead Hospital and was treated for his injuries. As a result of the battery, the victim sustained bleeding in the brain, a fractured skull, a laceration to his nose, and other side effects. Surveillance video captured the image of the subject and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.
