The Miami-Dade Police Department, is investigating a shooting that occurred at the above location. According to investigators, the subject exited his residence armed with a handgun, crossed the street to a neighboring market, and fired several shots in the air. The subject then fled back into his residence. When police responded, the subject threatened to shoot officers. At that time, the Special Response Team and hostage negotiators were notified and responded to the scene. The negotiators were able to convince the subject to surrender to police. The subject was taken into custody without further incident. No other information is available at this time.
