The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau is investigating an incident that occurred at the above listed location. According to investigators, the subject grabbed (2) six packs of beer and walked past the counter without paying. As the subject walked out of the business, the employee, Modesto Legon, followed and instructed her to come back to pay for the merchandise. The subject then entered a white Honda Civic and the victim reached for driver’s door. As the victim held the driver's door open, the subject put the vehicle in reverse, pushed the victim to the ground and fled westbound on S.W. 56 Street. Mr. Legon suffered a laceration to the back of his head. He was treated and release on the scene. Surveillance video captured the image of the subject and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.
