The Miami-Dade Police Department, Domestic Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred at the above listed location. According to investigators, a 911 call was received in reference to a person shot. The responding officers discovered a female suffering from an apparent gun wound. Further investigation revealed that the subject is the step-father, Bernex Lucas, and the events that lead to the shooting continue to be investigated. The victim was transported to the Ryder Trauma Center at JMH and is undergoing emergency surgery. The subject fled in a white 2014 Toyota Tundra bearing tag CKX-Z46. No further information is available at this time.
