Homicide


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating an incident that occurred at the above listed location. According to investigators, units were dispatched to N.W. 135 Street & N.W. 26 Court in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon their arrival, the body of an unresponsive female was discovered inside of the vehicle. Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue units responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Upon further investigation, the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the identity of the victim to be Sandra Margarita Santiesteban Alonso.

Based upon the investigation and laboratory analysis, an arrest warrant was issued on October 20, 2014, charging Lazo Santiago with Second Degree Murder. On October 21, 2014, Lazo Santiago was located at 219 N.W. 79 Street, Lot #A-128 and was taken into custody without further incident.
