(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a police involved shooting that occurred at the above listed residence.  According to investigators, units responded to the area in reference to shots fired.  Once the units arrived, the officers were confronted by a white Latin male armed with a shotgun which led to shots being fired.  The subject subsequently exited the residence unarmed and the officers utilized the electronic control device to take him into custody.  Once under arrest, the officers discovered that the subject was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the subject to Kendall Regional Trauma Center where he is listed in stable condition.  None of the officers were injured.
