The Miami-Dade Police Department, Missing Persons Unit and Homicide Bureau, are investigating a case at 12910 SW 148th Street Road. According to investigators at approximately 11:00 p.m. they responded to a suspicious incident at the residence. According to family members, they were out of the house leaving the victim with his 32 year old nephew. Once the family returned home they discovered the family pets and the victim missing. Further investigation from the family revealed that the family pets were deceased and buried in the rear yard of the residence. At this time the victim’s nephew is being interviewed by detectives in order to determine if he has any information as to the whereabouts of the missing person.
Family members later lead detectives to the area located at SW 12600 Block & SW 14300 Block where a body has been found. The body is yet to be identified and it is unknown if it is of the missing person.

Update 1: Upon further investigation the body located at SW 12600 & 14300 Block where a body has been found is identified as Carlos Nino. During the interrogation of the subject, Carlos Mario Zuluaga, he confessed to the killing of Carlos Nino. The subject was arrested and charged accordingly.
