(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating two deaths that occurred on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at approximately 4:43 p.m. at 8315 West Flagler Street. Ms. Nino Garcia was inside her place of employment when she was approached by her boyfriend, Mr. Linares. After brief dispute, the situation escalated when Mr. Linares produced a firearm and shot Ms. Nino Garcia, and then turned the weapon on himself. Mr. Linares expired on scene due to an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Ms. Nino Garcia was transported to Kendall Trauma in critical condition where she was treated for her injuries. On Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Ms. Nino Garcia expired due to her injuries. There is no further information available at this time.
