The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is conducting a death investigation as result of a plane crash that occurred on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at approximately 2:40 p.m. in the area of SW 142nd Street & SW 177th Avenue. Responding Miami-Dade Police Department and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units arrived on scene and discovered the aircraft completely engulfed in flames after crash landing. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue extinguished the flames and confirmed fatalities. However, at this time neither the number of victims nor their identities can be confirmed. There is no further information available at this time. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.
