The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Homicide Bureau, is investigating a death that occurred at the above location. According to investigators, MDPD was notified of a vehicle pursuit involving Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) and Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) that entered into Miami-Dade County. The subject, Samori Kwame Walden, exited I-95 and was traveling west bound on Ives Dairy Road when he lost control of the vehicle, striking a palm tree and a wall at N.E. 4th Avenue. BBPD and BSO officers removed the subject from the vehicle. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the subject deceased at the scene. The cause of death is pending the medical examiner's report. The investigation continues.
