The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a Hit and Run that occurred at above listed location. According to investigators, the victim/pedestrian was walking on the edge of the roadway of N.E. 5 Avenue and N.E. 180 Street when he was struck by a 2010, BMW, 335I, navy blue in color. The driver of listed vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction without rendering aid to the victim, which has been identified as Alexander Sanghwan from Ontario, Canada. The victim was then transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, Trauma Center with multiple injuries and in critical condition. > The investigation remains active and ongoing. Update #1: On Monday, March 30, 2015, the driver, Olivia Bennett, turned herself in regarding the Hit & Run. She was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and reckless driving with serious bodily injury.
