(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit, is investigating a crash that occurred on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at NW 36th Street & 42nd Avenue. The investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling east on NW 36th Street. As the vehicle approached the intersection of NW 42nd Avenue the driver appears to have lost control. The vehicle came to rest after it crashed into a light pole in the median at the intersection. The driver expired on scene. The passenger/victim was transported to Ryder Trauma and is in stable but guarded condition. There is no further information available at this time.
