Arson/Shooting


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Intracoastal District along with Arson detectives are investigating an incident that occurred at two separate residences.

According to investigators, shortly after 6 a.m. a 911 call was received in reference to shots fired at a residence located at 1171 N.W. 141 Street.  Once the officers arrived to the scene they made contact with the residents and ensured everyone's safety.  Residents then stated that an unknown vehicle open fire to the residence and threw what appeared to be some type of Molotov Cocktail.  They also observed several bullet holes to the residence but no fire damage.  All of the occupants were not injured.  No subject or vehicle description is available. 

Shortly after, a second 911 call was received in reference to shots fired at a residence located at 1415 N.E. 147 Street.  Upon officer's arrival, they ensured everyone's safety and noticed that the residence also had bullet holes and it appears that a Molotov Cocktail was utilized as well.  No subject or vehicle description is available.

A 911 call was received after the second shooting in reference to a residential fire located at 1160 N.W. 141 Street.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the residence and extinguished the fire.  The incident is being investigated by Arson detectives to confirm if the residential fire is related to the previous incidents.  No injuries reported.

Miami-Dade Police Department investigators have released surveillance video.  Video can be viewed in the FTP site.
