(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a death that occurred on Monday, May 18, 2015, at above listed location.  According to investigators the victim was inside of his residence when he became aware of subjects that had gained entry.  The victim armed himself and after a confrontation discharged his firearm at the subjects striking both of them.  One of the subjects expired at the scene to his injuries, the second subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.  The home owner was not injured during the incident.
