Shooting


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Northwest District, is investigating a shooting that occurred at above listed location.  According to investigators, the victim, a 15 year old male, was involved in a verbal dispute with two other males, when one of the subjects, Christopher Vazquez, produced a firearm and shot the victim.  The victim was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.  Subjects, Christopher Vazquez and Taurean Pitts remained on scene where they were questioned and charged accordingly. 

The firearm was recovered together with 65 grams of suspected marijuana and in excess of $12,000 of U.S. currency.
