Rental Fraud

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Hammocks District, is investigating an Organized Scheme to Defraud that occurred over the course of several months. Through their corporation, Real Estate Connection, the subjects acted as property managers for foreign investors, eventually keeping the victim's mortgage payments causing the properties to go into foreclosure. The subjects also acted as brokers for local renters. The subjects proceeded to show properties to the victims and accepted deposits for the rental of those properties. The subjects would then keep the victim's monies. Through investigative leads, the subjects were eventually located and arrested. Several victims have been identified however, investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in locating other victims that have not yet come forward.
