(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that occurred in the City of Coral Gables. At approximately 1:00 p.m., the Coral Gables Police Department received a 911 call in reference to a shooting at the 1000 block of Salzedo Street.  Upon the officer's arrival, they discovered a white Latin male (mid 20's) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Two black male subjects, 5'9 to 6'00" in height, wearing a backpack, were observed running westbound towards Lejeune Road.  A perimeter was established and a search for the subjects yield negative results.  The victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, Ryder Trauma Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
